Business Systems Analyst analyzing business processes and collaborating with teams to deliver software solutions. Ensuring successful implementation and optimization of systems in financial services.
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements from various stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and other elicitation techniques.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development teams, ensuring clarity and completeness.
Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, quality assurance testers, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
Create and maintain various documentation including use cases, process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
Participate in the design, testing, and implementation phases of new systems and enhancements.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
Facilitate effective communication between business units and IT teams, acting as a liaison.
Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to business systems analysis.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis processes and methodologies within the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, prototyping).
Experience with various methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data analysis.
Ability to create clear and concise documentation including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
