About the role

  • HR Director managing an HR team and overseeing strategic projects in a dynamic international company. Responsibilities include recruitment, employee relations and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a committed HR team encompassing all relevant centers of competence, HR operations teams, and HR Business Partners
  • Oversee and manage strategic and operational projects across compensation, benefits, succession planning, organizational design and development, change management, training and development, recruiting, performance management, employee evaluation, employee relations, payroll, administration, internal communications, and HR information systems
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders, including corporate headquarters, local management, and relevant employees
  • Promote company productivity and efficiency and improve employee retention to support profitable growth
  • Foster fair and equitable workplace relationships and governance, ensure open communication, and build effective partnerships
  • Enable a high-performing HR team through operational integration, proactive problem anticipation, timely and effective issue resolution, and the establishment and maintenance of continuous improvement programs
  • Define and manage the HR budget as well as other financial and performance-related metrics
  • Track and implement new HR KPIs and monitor them, with a particular focus on people analytics
  • Analyze current HR systems, vendors, and contracts and develop proposals to improve performance

Requirements

  • University degree in business, business administration, human resources, or a comparable qualification
  • More than 10 years of experience in senior HR roles with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proven expertise across most HR functions (internal communications, talent acquisition, employer branding, talent management/performance, compensation and benefits, workforce and succession planning, organizational development, works council/employee representation, etc.)
  • Experience in M&A projects (post‑merger/acquisition processes)
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple projects simultaneously — including digitization/automation of HR processes
  • International experience, e.g., working in a matrix organization
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
