About the role
- Software Engineering Manager leading Snap’s Ad Data Infra team to enhance data processing infrastructure. Overseeing engineering team management, technical mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
- Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and be the interface between Monetization engineering and our infrastructure partners
- Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor
- Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members
Requirements
- Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field + 8+ year of post-grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related technical field + 5+ years of post-grad software development experience
- Background with building high availability and mission critical systems
- Strong technical understanding of trade-offs of modern data processing, storage, and querying solutions (such as Flink, Google Cloud Dataflow, Datalake, Google BigQuery)
- Experience with leading an engineering team
- Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives
