Responsibilities
Empower teams to grow and thrive: Guide, coach and support engineers in their personal and professional development. Build high-performing, self-organized teams with a strong culture of trust and accountability. Foster continuous learning and curiosity, helping engineers grow in their craft and careers.
Drive delivery and ensure impact: Partner closely with Product and Tech Leads to plan, prioritize, and deliver key product initiatives. Remove blockers, align resources, and help teams commit with confidence. Ensure engineering execution is aligned with our goals and delivers measurable outcomes.
Champion engineering excellence: Establish and evolve engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, code quality, and operational readiness. Ensure the systems built are secure, reliable, and scalable. Advocate for technical decisions that align with long-term goals while balancing trade-offs.
Shape how we work together: Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and peer Engineering Managers. Contribute to the evolution of our engineering culture and leadership practices.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in leading software engineering teams, guiding team dynamics, performance, and growth
Strong understanding of engineering delivery processes, including agile methodologies, planning cycles, and cross-functional collaboration
Technical ownership of a complex product or project delivery, ensuring timely outcomes and maintaining high technical standards
Technical know-how in cloud-native environments (GCP preferred), including experience with scalable architectures and secure system design
Proven ability to communicate effectively across engineering and business stakeholders, including leadership; Fluent in English, German is a advantage
Track record in fostering leadership culture or team maturity, including coaching and mentoring engineers
Moderation and facilitation skills for guiding team rituals, alignment meetings, and decision-making processes
