About the role
- Project Engineering Manager overseeing engineering activities in Grid Solutions project at GE Vernova managing quality, cost, and time delivery criteria across teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering activities of the project, ensuring quality, cost, and time delivery criteria
- Plan overall design activities, manage project design budget, implement design change process
- Supervise and coordinate all engineering activities required to execute the project
- Ensure technical coordination of the Grid Solutions project
- Warrant optimized technical solutions as per customer expectation
- Document and deliver engineering activities as per project schedule
- Participate in project strategy elaboration with PM
- Manage scope or design changes and prepare related claims and VO to be approved by PED or PM
- Analyze customer technical requirements and ensure compliance
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering degree level or equivalent education
- 12+ years of Engineering activities as lead engineer in EPC Design profile in T&D EHV Station
- Exposure to several of the applicable engineering disciplines for the business scope considered
- Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team’s context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries
- Fluent in English
- Experience of team building as lead engineer
- Skilled at Influencing and relationship building
- Experience in technical problem solving
- General Knowledge of GRID Solutions factories and products through FAT, site visits
- Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution industry
- Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel worldwide
- Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages
- Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role
