About the role

Senior Product Manager overseeing digital projects at Sidestream, engaging in innovative solutions with a hybrid work setup. Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to drive project success in technology and impact sectors.

Responsibilities

Lead projects: Take ownership of digital projects from start to launch. Ensure that quality and budget meet our standards — even when you are managing multiple projects in parallel.
Structure & execution: Plan, structure and steer projects with clarity and vision, working closely with our clients and the tech leads from our teams.
Alignment between clients and technology: Identify customer needs and translate them into clear, actionable steps for the team, track progress and identify blockers early. Ensure that user needs and technical reality fit together.
Advise and understand: Conduct client meetings and user interviews, gather feedback and proactively advise your clients to enable informed decision-making.
Support, develop and lead teams: Support your development team (2–5 people) throughout the project lifecycle. Provide feedback, conduct reviews and take personnel responsibility for your team’s development and well-being.
Hands-on contribution: Despite strategic responsibility, stay close to the project, organize GitHub tasks, support testing and quality assurance and actively contribute to the work.
Act proactively: Spot risks early, develop smart solutions and think projects one step ahead.

Project leadership experience: You have several years of experience managing complex (tech) projects with a high degree of ownership, composure and structure.
Tech-driven mindset: You are tech-savvy (a developer background or private tech projects are helpful but not required) and can clearly capture technical requirements and communicate them precisely and constructively between different stakeholders.
Hands-on mentality: You actively shape outcomes, ensure pace and quality and are not afraid to dive into details when necessary.
Clear communication: You communicate clearly, in a structured way, and fluently in German and English.
High-performance mindset: You think ahead, tackle challenges, react flexibly to changes, take responsibility and go the extra mile to find pragmatic solutions.
Residence in Germany: You are registered as residing in Germany and can work remotely with flexibility or come to the Cologne office whenever it makes sense for you.
