About the role

  • Manager overseeing Multi-Care Kidney Clinics and Diabetes Program at Scarborough Health Network. Responsible for patient care management, operational resources, and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the Multi-Care Kidney Clinics and the Diabetes Program within the Scarborough Regional Nephrology Program
  • Manage the human, operational, and fiscal resources required to meet patient care needs
  • Oversee the integration of quality and patient safety initiatives
  • Play an integral role in program development and expansion
  • Manage patient flow volumes within service areas including wait times and quality monitoring
  • Accountable for meeting performance targets set by the Ontario Renal Network
  • Provide leadership and participate in the implementation of the strategic plan
  • Facilitate and promote professional practice to provide excellence in care

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in clinical health related profession
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Current registration with a regulated health professional college
  • Skills in LEAN quality improvement approach
  • Proven clinical and administrative experience in community and/or ambulatory care units
  • 3 year minimum leadership experience
  • Evidence of planning, analytical and organizational experience in an inter-professional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to support and initiate quality management activities
  • Strong business and financial management experience
  • Thorough understanding of utilization management and bench-marking
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Proven success in managing changing and transforming workplace culture
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Evidence of planning, analytical and organizational experience
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent performance and attendance record required
  • Good computer skills, comfortable with Microsoft Office applications
