About the role
- Solution Developer at SEB in Riga developing large-scale Big Data solutions and data pipelines. Collaborating with motivated team members while using modern tech stack including Hadoop, Spark, and Google Cloud.
Responsibilities
- As a developer at SEB in Riga you develop and maintain complex Big Data solutions and data pipelines, enabling efficient and qualitative analyses and reporting of large-scale transactional data
- You belong to a team of competent and highly motivated Developers and Data Engineers, and together you solve complex problems, processing and streaming data from various sources into our big data platforms. Your competence and expertise are trusted to make big-picture decisions and given creative leeway
- We use Hadoop for storing and processing data and Apache solutions such as Airflow for workflow management. We also use Apache Kafka, Spark and Hive for large-scale data processing, streaming and storage
- Along with this we are establishing new pipelines using Google Cloud such as Dataflow using Java, Cloud functions, Google Pubsub, BigQuery and BigTable. In addition our team supports a set of container-based microservices and you will work with Kubernetes, OpenShift. We are working with Scala, Java and Spring Boot.
Requirements
- Experienced Solution Developer, have worked with developing Spark or Spring boot applications and solutions from scratch
- Experienced in programming with Java and Scala
- Some experience working with Cloud Solutions and infrastructure as code
- You have a passion for expanding your knowledge and new ways of working
- Your enjoy sharing your knowledge on Big Data tech and tools, and you have an interest in taking on larger responsibilities within agile development
- We at SEB work agile with SAFe and it is a plus if you have experience of working within the SAFe framework
- We believe that you are a person who understand complex issues and challenges. You like to solve problems with a systematic but still innovative approach. This role includes close contact with your team and other stakeholders, therefore we believe that you are a person with great communication and documentation skills who likes to cooperate with others
- Fluent English in verbal and written and good communication skills. Work execution is related to foreign countries.
