About the role
- Flight Dynamics Engineer at Satellogic managing satellite operations and orbital maneuvers in the Flight Application Engineering team. Focused on maintaining satellite constellation performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, execution and analysis of orbital maneuvers under different scenarios to accomplish mission requirements.
- Monitoring and maintenance of multiple satellite constellation orbital parameters for their given mission requirements, as well as pointing quality for different satellite products.
- Precise ephemerides generation for satellite tracking during the different phases of the satellites lifetime.
- Development of automatic tools for satellite maintenance.
- Space Situational Awareness monitoring and definition of strategies to ensure safety of the Satellogic fleet.
Requirements
- Degree (or advanced studies) in aerospace engineering or related fields.
- Proven experience in orbital dynamics simulation tools and software.
- Scientific programming.
- Intermediate English proficiency level.
- Humble, flexible, and eager to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience on orbital maneuvering design (Optional).
- Python knowledge is an asset (Optional).
