About the role

Responsibilities
- Execute the M&A process including financial modeling, developing strategic rationale, valuation, transaction execution, due diligence execution, and presentation development
- Support integration or separation planning activities for businesses undergoing acquisition or divestiture
- Analyze financial statements and develop valuation analyses, including discounted cashflow and comparable company analyses
- Partner closely with business unit and functional leaders to identify and prioritize acquisition and divestiture opportunities aligned with strategic objectives
- Prepare materials for stakeholders including the Executive and Senior Leadership Team
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely execution and mitigate operational or financial risks
- Contribute to enterprise and BU strategy development, with a focus on portfolio optimization
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
- Several years' transactional experience (e.g., top-tier investment bank, corporate development role, consulting, VC)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with financial data services (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg)
- Experience in aerospace & defense
