About the role
- OT Security Engineer configuring firewalls and IoT gateways in industrial networks. Collaborating on OT-Security standards while ensuring secure remote-access infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Deployment, administration and rule configuration of firewalls in industrial networks, including analysis and remediation of incidents.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of IoT gateways, including establishing secure communication channels and resolving connectivity and security issues.
- Implementation, operation and monitoring of secure remote access infrastructures, as well as troubleshooting remote maintenance connections.
- Advising on OT security standards, supporting audits and compliance, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Creation of network diagrams and plans, including definition of address ranges, routes and rules.
Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training in IT, network engineering or automation engineering.
- Experience configuring firewalls and network components.
- Knowledge of IoT protocols and industrial communication standards (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT).
- Understanding of OT security policies and standards (e.g., IEC 62443, CRA, Data Act, Machinery Regulation).
- Confident use of remote maintenance solutions (OpenVPN, IPsec).
- Analytical skills and a structured approach to work.
