About the role

  • Leading Cyber Security team to tackle complex challenges for European digital security. Responsible for team development, budget management, and compliance with security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Personnel leadership and further development of the Cyber Security team (9 employees) to efficiently handle IT security incidents (Incident Response, Forensics, Case Management) for our predominantly small and medium-sized clients – in close cooperation with the Head of IRM as the technical lead for Incident Response and Forensics.
  • Further development of the team and the organization in the context of the European rollout, including scaling of structures, role models and workflows.
  • Strategic development, optimization and standardization of processes, playbooks and escalation paths, as well as integration of modern technologies – in cooperation with the CTO.
  • Expansion and development of our consulting-focused business area with an emphasis on information security.
  • Responsibility for budget planning as well as resource and capacity management across the entire Cyber Security area.
  • Ensuring compliance with all data protection and IT security requirements within the Cyber Security department.
  • Representing the company at events, in the press and in professional forums on relevant cybersecurity topics.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in (business) computer science, IT security, (IT) management, organizational development, or a comparable, solid qualification.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a security-relevant or technically oriented organizational unit in the field of Incident Response and Forensics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in personnel leadership and development of employees – from recruiting and target setting to career path planning and fostering a constructive feedback culture.
  • Proven experience in building teams, structures and processes, particularly in designing efficient organizational structures and role models.
  • Solid understanding of business control mechanisms, especially in budget planning and resource and capacity management.
  • The ability to translate strategic topics into clear operational measures – with a strong focus on execution and customer value.
  • Very good communication and moderation skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage to successfully connect different perspectives from technology, management, partnerships and client situations.
