About the role

  • OT Cybersecurity Engineer ensuring secure operations of production environment at Mercedes-Benz Türk. Overseeing cybersecurity measures and collaborating with IT and planning teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and Maintain OT Cybersecurity Posture: Oversee security of industrial machines, CNC systems, production networks, and OT assets, ensuring safe and continuous operation while maintaining security policies and standards.
  • Cross-Site Coordination & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication and coordination with other Daimler Buses sites and OT cybersecurity coordinators to align security standards, share best practices, and ensure consistent implementation of OT cybersecurity measures across locations.
  • Asset Lifecycle & Commissioning: Own the OT cybersecurity aspects of commissioning and onboarding new assets, including IT configurations, firewall authorizations, vulnerability checks, and maintaining/updating OT inventories.
  • Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management: Conduct OT risk assessments, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, implement risk-reducing measures, monitor compliance, and organize workshops with external consultants.
  • Secure Software Deployment & System Updates: Plan, test, and roll out software updates, patches, backups, and endpoint protection, maintaining network segmentation and secure remote access.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Continuously monitor OT networks & assets, respond to incidents, coordinate with IT/production teams, CSOC, and BISO Plant, acting as technical authority for escalations.
  • Secure Integration with Enterprise Systems: Ensure safe data flow between machines, MES, IoT platforms, and enterprise systems; define security requirements and support secure deployment of new machines and automation projects.
  • Training, Awareness & Audits: Raise employee awareness on OT security, advise production/engineering teams, and conduct internal/external audits, cyber drills, and preparedness exercises.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering
  • Several years of experience working with industrial machines, production systems, control systems, and related networks, combined with hands-on experience in OT security, industrial cybersecurity, and digitalization initiatives in manufacturing environments
  • In-depth knowledge of OT security standards such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001 and risk management
  • Solid understanding of industrial network and system technologies, including communication protocols and infrastructure used in production environments
  • Experience collaborating with international or cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in English and experience collaborating with international and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel as required, and for male candidates, completion of mandatory military service.
