About the role
- Security Software Engineer supporting software development teams in security lifecycle processes. Creating security concepts and assisting in web application security topics with a modern tech stack.
Responsibilities
- As a proactive Security Champion, you support, raise awareness, and train software development teams at every stage of the software lifecycle
- You develop application-specific security concepts, assess software and system architectures, and review existing web applications
- You assist colleagues on all web application security topics, e.g., with threat modeling workshops, threat analyses, or vulnerability management
Requirements
- Practical experience in developing secure software
- Deep knowledge of web security weaknesses and strengths
- Familiarity with: X.509, OAuth, Transport Layer Security (TLS), CVE, Diffie-Hellman, SQL injection, JWT, supply chain attacks, Kubernetes
- Fluent German (≥ C1) for client situations conducted in German, and confident English
- Nice to have: certifications in IT security such as TISP, CISSP, CISM, and hands-on experience securing cloud applications
