About the role
- IT System Integration Engineer responsible for hardware and software configuration at Proway for various industries. Supporting CI/CD and system maintenance in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and install (IT) hardware and software components
- Build and maintain lab and test environments (Windows + Linux), including servers, clients, IP networks, and VMs (virtual machines)
- Develop concepts for automated and manual configuration and installation of systems
- Maintain and further develop existing systems, including adjustments and troubleshooting of hardware and software configurations
- Set up and maintain toolchains/pipelines for CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)
- Automate build and release processes along the CI/CD pipeline by creating scripts and programs
Requirements
- Completed technical degree, e.g., in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Professional experience required, especially in software development
- Profound knowledge of software and server hardware
- Administrative knowledge of Windows and Linux systems (especially network configuration and firewalls)
- Experience in software and build-pipeline development (e.g., C++, Python, Jenkins, Bamboo)
- Command-line tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Proxmox, Podman)
- Independent, efficient working style and creative approach
- Willingness to engage with customers, e.g., during system installations
- Very good German and English language skills.
