About the role
- Ward Manager for CAMHS managing an 11 bedded psychiatric ward at Priory Hospital Chelmsford. Overseeing patient care and coordinating nursing staff in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the ward and resources effectively
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills
- Monitor nursing staff rota and maintain effective rota management and erostering standards
- Ensure nursing team receives clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and mandatory training
- Address development shortfalls and training issues
Requirements
- Registered with the NMC or HCPC
- At least two years’ supervisory experience in a relevant care setting
- Trained Assessor/Supervisor
- Computer literate
- Committed to ongoing professional development
- Experience in clinical audit, service improvement, and managing multiple priorities
- Previous experience supervising nursing or care staff
