About the role
- Chief of Staff supporting Planet A Ventures in steering strategy and operations for a leading European tech VC. Collaborating with partners, enhancing operational processes, and improving communication across teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Partners on strategy, investment thesis development, and fund-level initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted sparring partner on high-priority tasks and special projects.
- Help maintain and strengthen relationships with LPs and network members.
- Support the Partners on investor updates, reporting, and fundraising processes.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements across internal processes and fund infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth cross-functional communication and alignment across the team.
- Drive high-leverage projects across operations, portfolio, and ecosystem initiatives.
- Help shape and amplify the fund’s brand and external narrative across events.
- Strengthen and expand the network within the VC and startup community.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment (e.g. startups, VC, policy, comms, events, strategy consulting, or similar).
- Hands-on experience building and scaling teams or companies.
- Ability to bring people together across functions, personalities, and priorities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, spotting opportunities, creating structure where it’s missing, knowing when to pull others in.
- Strong emotional intelligence to read a room and adapt style depending on who you’re working with.
- Deep care about building something meaningful in venture.
