Cyber Security Engineer working on Embedded Systems for various clients at PICKPLACE. Involves risk analysis, security architecture design, and hands-on development in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Conducting risk analyses (e.g. TARA) to assess potential threats and vulnerabilities
Analyzing, deriving and managing cyber security requirements in customer projects
Designing, documenting and implementing comprehensive security architectures
Contributing to system and architecture design with attention to security-relevant aspects
Developing and integrating safety-/security-critical functions in embedded systems (C/C++)
Performing code reviews and verifying security requirements as part of security audits
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act, ISO 21434, IEC 62443)
Providing technical consulting and support to our clients on all embedded cyber security matters
Where applicable, conducting penetration tests using Kali Linux
Requirements
A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT Security, or comparable technical qualification
Several years of practical experience in embedded software development (e.g. C/C++)
Good knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
Solid knowledge of industrial bus systems and protocols such as CAN, CANopen, UDS, EtherCAT, IO-Link or classic serial protocols (RS232, RS485, Modbus, ...)
Strong knowledge and practical experience in cyber security, ideally in an embedded environment
Familiarity with current security technologies and experience conducting vulnerability analyses
Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
