About the role
- Manager at Warwickshire Oil Storage Terminal ensuring safe operations, compliance, and staff management. Overseeing health, safety, and environmental responsibilities while liaising with authorities.
Responsibilities
- ensuring the safe operation of the Terminal site, including without limitation the suspension or cessation of activities
- HSEQ compliance and responsibility for the health and safety of all personnel using, working within and visiting the Terminal site
- managing the actions required and specified under the Control of Major Accident Hazard Regulations 1999 for 1 x Top Tier site
- liaising directly with enforcing authorities on a routine basis
- recruiting, appointing, managing, motivating, appraising and determining the remuneration of staff
- developing and implementing procedures and work instructions to ensure all operations and maintenance functions are carried out within guidelines
- reporting directly to senior management on all operational and financial matters
Requirements
- Demonstrable Leadership skills in circumstances with remote guidance or supervision
- Health, Safety & Environmental management skills including experience of working with the Competent Authorities
- Operational Management experience working in a top tier COMAH site and/or critical national infrastructure
- Strong IT competence, with Cyber security and process control knowledge an advantage
- Finance/accounting skills with previous multi-million pound budget-holder experience
- HR and Employment law knowledge
- Procurement knowledge with contract negotiation & amendment skills
