About the role

  • Collections Clerk at Blue Ridge Communications resolving outstanding bills and handling customer inquiries in a hybrid work environment. Responsible for both collection calls and customer service tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Calling delinquent customers to resolve outstanding bills
  • Handling overflow calls from the Blue Ridge call center
  • Acting as a Customer Service agent for inquiries about products and services
  • Answering phones and making collection calls
  • Handling customer billing inquiries and resolutions
  • Assisting with name changes, Social Security Number reviews, checks, BRC account reviews, delinquencies, refunds, and bankruptcies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience in a customer service, collections and/or call center environment preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Excellent Customer Relations Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills – Oral and Written
  • Strong Typing / Data Entry Skills
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Ability to use basic office equipment
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle and resolve complaints in a friendly and professional manner
