Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring, configuring and maintaining Windows Server operating systems and hardware in the data center environment (HP, Cisco UCS)
Support and optimize central Windows services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS) and handle second-level service requests
Further develop cloud and high-availability solutions and deploy systems in private and public cloud environments
Create performance analyses, perform root-cause analyses and troubleshooting, and derive optimizations for operating systems, hardware and processes
Ensure 24/7 operation of production systems, plan and document server resources, and support cross-departmental projects
Requirements
Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or a degree (Computer Science, Business Informatics)
At least five years of experience operating 24/7 production systems
In-depth knowledge of administering Windows Server operating systems (AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, file and print services), WSUS and Windows clients
Experience configuring, installing and supporting virtualized infrastructures (e.g., VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, cluster and cloud solutions)
Knowledge of Cisco networking environments and certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or MCITP are desirable
Motivated team player who works independently and proactively
Confident communication in German and English (at least B2 level)
