About the role
- Event Technician executing motorsport projects worldwide for RIEDEL Communications. Setting up communication systems and troubleshooting technical issues at live events while coordinating with event planners.
Responsibilities
- You plan, prepare, and execute motorsport projects worldwide.
- You set up, configure, and maintain analog and digital radio communication systems, as well as wireless and wired intercom and video systems.
- You deploy and manage small-to-mid-scale IT systems and diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues at the module level, both trackside and on-site with customers.
- You document technical setups, project activities, and configurations, providing technical advice, feedback, and recommendations.
- You keep an overview of equipment and manage the onsite inventory.
- You effectively coordinate and work closely with event planners and racing teams in a dynamic and diverse environment.
Requirements
- Advanced-level technical, operational, and troubleshooting knowledge to support equipment and requirements for events of various scales
- Successfully completed technical training (e.g., mechatronics, event technology, electronics, IT, or communication electronics)
- Strong expertise and enthusiasm for radio, intercom, audio, and IT technologies
- Experience in motorsports, event technology, or broadcasting is a plus
- High willingness to travel frequently and flexibility to participate in high-profile racing events
- Passion for end-to-end project execution and problem-solving
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to legally work in the US.
