About the role
- Senior Project Manager leading cross-functional teams to manage innovation product development at OLAPLEX. Driving project execution and ensuring timely delivery of product initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage activities across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Education, IT, and Finance to ensure excellence in on-time execution for NPD and Non-NPD projects globally.
- Design and own strategic project plans, identifying critical path and accounting for cross-functional interdependencies.
- Clearly document and drive milestone adherence across teams. Set due dates/make revisions as needed, and own follow up to ensure tasks are met or contingencies developed.
- Identify and propose contingency plans as needed to keep initiatives on-time, in-scope, and in-budget, while managing risk.
- Lead and facilitate regular cross-functional team meetings, coordinating activities across various team members to create and execute necessary timelines and activities.
- Proactively identify risks. Counter-act and press for decisions in order to execute on-time and within quality expectations.
- Prioritize tasks, adjust workflow, and cross-functional teams to move projects forward.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, creating and refining best practices and processes for successful project execution.
- Serve as point of contact in between formal project meetings to drive communication and action where needed to support project execution.
- Communicate project status updates, actions, and risks to the executive team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in either R&D or Supply Chain
- 7+ years of experience in process/project management across global teams, and/or concentration of R&D or Supply Chain.
- Strong understanding of project management foundations, experience with stage-gate process strongly preferred
- Skilled problem-solver who drives out-of-the-box thinking when appropriate
- Adept at operating autonomously amidst ambiguity
- Ability to lead and influence without being the direct manager of all team members
- Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
