Responsibilities
Work closely with the Communications Specialist to manage and maintain social media content
Support the Communications Specialist in planning and maintaining the organizational editorial calendar
Collaborate to develop engaging social media content
Manage OBI’s social media channels day-to-day, including scheduling posts and responding to inquiries
Gather ideas, updates, and materials from OBI staff and adapt messaging for different audiences
Requirements
Degree in life sciences, sociology, social sciences, communications, journalism, or public relations
Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and tone
Platform-specific knowledge of major social media channels
Proficiency with social media management and scheduling tools
Creative and self-motivated
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks
Genuine interest in strategic communications and knowledge translation
Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
