About the role
- Security Analyst working on Check Point firewall migrations for a cybersecurity company. Focusing on risk mitigation, technical management, and cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technical migration plans for Check Point firewalls, focusing on risk mitigation during changes
- Plan, open, document, and track activities in change management tools (GMUD)
- Participate in daily stand-ups, technical meetings, and client alignments, reporting status, risks, impacts, and progress
- Perform technical pre-change checklists, environment validations, and impact analyses
- Work during maintenance windows to migrate new appliances, upgrade versions, and apply patches to Check Point firewalls
- Support troubleshooting activities whenever necessary
- Implement information security best practices and environment hardening
- Perform periodic health checks on firewall and security infrastructure environments
- Monitor environment health, capacity, performance, and compliance with security standards
- Propose continuous improvements to architecture, security, performance, and governance
- Support the commercial team with technical insight, opportunity identification, and assistance on technical proposals
- Participate in cloud security projects across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments
- Document environments, changes, standards, and technical procedures
- Work in incident, problem, and change processes in critical production environments
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and corporate security best practices
Requirements
- Degree in Information Security, Cyber Defense, Information Systems, or related fields
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
- Knowledge of routing, TCP/IP, and dynamic routing protocols
- Experience with Check Point firewalls (VSX, Multi-Domain, and CloudGuard Network)
- Knowledge of cloud computing environments: Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Desirable knowledge of the Check Point Maestro platform
- Check Point certifications: CCSA, CCSE, and CCTA
