About the role
- Engineering Manager overseeing SCADA Services for a leading virtual power plant in Europe. Leading a cross-functional team to develop and maintain technical systems.
Responsibilities
- You will lead a team of about eleven people and support their technical and personal development
- You are responsible for the architecture, operation and ongoing development of our SCADA and IoT systems
- You will work on topics such as real-time communication, data quality, fault tolerance and scalability
- You will define standards for interfaces, data models and security
- You will work closely with colleagues from Operations, Field Service and Data teams
- You will promote automation, stability and technical excellence.
Requirements
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge in these areas
- You have prior experience leading teams and working in agile development
- You drive the generation of innovative ideas and support your team in implementing them
- You have experience in operating or developing technical systems (e.g., SCADA, IoT, Cloud, Messaging)
- You have knowledge of modern software technologies and communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC-UA)
- You enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly and collaborate to find solutions
- You are fluent in German and English (business fluent).
