Responsibilities
- Experience with Tenable One
- Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux/Unix and Windows
- Experience with the vulnerability lifecycle
- Deep understanding of CVSS (v3.x), and classifications such as CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) and CWE (Common Weakness Enumeration)
- Knowledge of types of cyber attacks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation actions for IT environments
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in identifying insecure configurations (misconfigurations) that increase security risk
- Ability to develop reports and present findings
Requirements
- Knowledge/experience in SOC (Blue Team) activities
- Experience analyzing data and logs generated by IT equipment and security solutions
- Knowledge of the Sync platform — code vulnerability management
- Knowledge of penetration testing (execution or analysis of results)
- Basic knowledge of detection and response tools (EDR) or SIEM to contextualize vulnerabilities with active threats
- Preferred/Additional qualifications:
- Hands-on day-to-day experience with Vulnerability Management
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, SANS/GIAC in Vulnerability Management)
