About the role

  • Global Procurement Manager for Nestlé managing strategic sourcing of Processing Equipment. Responsible for driving cost optimization and supplier relationships across global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define collaboratively with the Global Category Manager and the key business and technical stakeholders the global category strategy for the spend and drive the implementation process by working closely with the business and the local procurement organizations.
  • Take the lead on sourcing projects for capital investments in the Coffee, Food and Confectionery processing equipment categories, and drive Total Delivered Cost (TDC) reduction, as well as identify and mitigate risks to ensure supply.
  • Implement key Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies such as catalogue pricing, supplier management, standardization, aggregation, and best cost country sourcing.
  • Manage relationships with various global, regional and local stakeholders to integrate the category strategy.
  • Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities and implement them.
  • Create a competitive environment for Nestlé’s needs.
  • Build on synergies between the various Nestle factories’ needs, directing all the potential efforts to obtain the best opportunities for cost optimization and value creation.
  • Introduce / develop new suppliers in close cooperation with the technical standard owners.
  • Negotiate supply contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the category strategy and in collaboration with Nestrade Legal team.
  • Manage and lead supplier relations with key strategic suppliers under the category’s scope.
  • Ensure compliance with Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, and standards.

Requirements

  • University degree in either Engineering, Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance.
  • 5-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, ideally with a regional or global scope; experience in technical procurement will be an asset.
  • Strong flexibility and mental agility to work and collaborate in a cross-functional environment in a highly complex global organization.
  • Demonstrate successful use of effective category sourcing, TCO modelling, risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, and externally with suppliers worldwide.
  • Understanding and use of digital tools and AI is expected as a driver of effectiveness and time to market.
  • Ability to manage complex set of data for sourcing activities.
  • People oriented and collaborative ways of working.
  • High fluency in English, other languages will be an asset.
