About the role
- Senior Accountant managing accounts payable processes and financial reporting for Mytheresa in Munich. Collaborating with auditors and optimizing accounting practices within a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring end-to-end processes in the group's accounts payable area
- Ensuring accurate periodic accounting and the quality and reliability of P&L and balance sheet items
- Taking project responsibility for the further development and optimization of ongoing accounting processes (interfaces)
- Assessing accounting- and tax-related issues, business transactions, and matters
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Collaborating with auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training, preferably with further qualification as a certified accountant or tax specialist, or a degree, plus relevant professional experience in accounts payable accounting (minimum 3 years)
- Knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and German tax law
- Proficient with common MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience with DATEV or similar financial/accounting software is a strong plus
- Quick comprehension and strong process understanding, combined with a careful, independent, and structured working style
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills
