- Health Educator Consultant supporting intern programs and outreach initiatives at Florida Department of Health. Involves administration and community outreach for health programs in Volusia County.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of Memorandum of Agreements with universities to provide intern opportunities for students
- Assist in documenting workforce development activities, maintain accurate records, and provide timely statistical and activity reports on student and volunteer participation
- Assist in developing and managing student/volunteer workforce development policies, procedures, and standards
- Manage the internal outreach calendar; adding outreach events received from community partners via the webmaster and from internal staff
- Attend outreach events including those on nights and weekends as needed or directed that are in the best interest of the agency
- Provide support to Community Health programs as directed by the supervisor to include but not limited to the Injury Prevention program
- Assist with the facilitation of the purchasing process for Community Health programs
Requirements
- Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
- Must have current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Must be willing to work some nights and weekends to attend outreaches and events
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office
