About the role
- Principal Data Security Software Engineer focused on developing security software for Dell’s server and storage products. Collaborating with top engineers to design and implement cryptography solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop common security related software integrated into Dell’s server and storage products
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered cryptography security-related software/services
- Implement modern encryption/decryption algorithms, crypto key management system and work on Post Quantum Computing (PQC) model integration
- Directly collaborate with best-in-class storage solution engineers at Dell Technologies
- Build and review design, functional, technical and user documentation; develop, review and implement test strategies for software products and systems
Requirements
- 8+ years software development experience, including coding of protocols and low-level systems, or equivalent skill
- Proficient in C, Java and/or Python; must be proficient at writing efficient code and debugging
- Ability to pick up new languages, tools and operating systems quickly
- Exposure to, or knowledge of, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Commercial National Security Algorithm (CNSA) Suite 2.0 and CNSS Policy 15
- Excellent collaboration skills and readiness to work with international development teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with Transport Layer Security (TLS), Key Management/Data At Rest Encryption (DARE)
