Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership of microbiological activities management in Dessau
- Responsible for day-to-day microbiological activities and adherence to QC operations
- Lead the microbiology department to establish a QC laboratory
- Develop, refine and maintain microbiological test methods
- Identify and complete initiatives for operational excellence
- Lead product testing, environmental monitoring and water testing
- Manage service providers for microbiological testing
- Participate in internal/external audits, regulatory inspections and supplier audits
- Ensure a safe laboratory working environment by applying and promoting safety measures
Requirements
- BS/BA in a life science or related field
- B.S. degree in Microbiology
- GLP/GMP experience required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device laboratory
- Professional experience leading a microbiology laboratory in the pharmaceutical or related industry
- In-depth knowledge of microbiology
- Experience applying various microbiological techniques for product testing and environmental monitoring
- Strong technical knowledge in a GMP environment
- Solid knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements
- Fluent written and spoken English
- MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
