Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of security researchers—setting priorities, offering guidance, and helping them grow
Plan and carry out research on cybersecurity tools, vulnerabilities, and threats
Validate findings through hands-on testing and reliable sources
Work closely with editorial, SEO, and product teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance
Share insights across departments and contribute to internal security practices
Keep up with the latest developments in cybersecurity and apply them to our work
Get involved in scripting, reverse engineering, and other technical investigations
Be an advocate for cybersecurity excellence—bring proof of your skills, showcase your work, and help raise the bar for security awareness across the company
Requirements
Experience managing or mentoring a technical team, ideally in cybersecurity or a similar field
Strong hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, vulnerability research, and a solid grasp of information technology fundamentals
Experience in researching, analyzing, and fact-checking technical content (bonus if in the tech or consumer electronics industry)
Background in reverse engineering, scripting (Bash, Python, etc.), and system administration
Familiarity with exploit stacks, threat modeling, and basic secure coding principles
Excellent research skills and attention to detail; ability to turn complex topics into actionable insights
Strong communication skills to provide clear, constructive feedback and collaborate effectively across departments
Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
