About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing Magento 2 solutions in eCommerce at MB Outdoor GmbH. Collaborating closely with stakeholders and managing external agency relationships.
Responsibilities
- Capture requirements together with business teams, assess them technically, and agree realistic timelines
- Oversee and ensure the quality of collaboration with external development agencies, perform code reviews, and approve deliverables
- Develop and maintain Magento 2 modules and shop features across multiple Magento instances and countries
- Make architecture and design decisions for scalable, maintainable codebases
- Support international expansion (multi-store, multi-language, multi-currency, country-specific tax and shipping rules)
- Establish and leverage AI in development processes
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software development, preferably in eCommerce
- Strong PHP skills and solid object-oriented programming
- Deep understanding of the Magento 2 module system
- Strong communication skills: able to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and independently coordinate requirements with business teams
- Very good German language skills (minimum C1) for communication with internal business teams and management
- Good written and spoken English for ticketing and collaboration with external agencies
