About the role
- Microsoft System Engineer responsible for administration of Microsoft systems and cloud services. Delivering insights and solutions for SHE's digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Planning, implementation and administration of traditional Microsoft systems (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange)
- Deployment, operation and management of Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Entra)
- Software distribution and packaging
- Maintenance and support of VDI environments
- Analysis and evaluation of performance and error logs
- Execution of system upgrades and migrations
- Support for end-user support as needed
- Creation and maintenance of system documentation as well as operational and maintenance processes
- Implementation and management of security measures to protect the IT infrastructure
- Collaboration in Modern Workplace Management (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Baramundi)
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field
- Several years of experience administering Microsoft systems
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange; additional knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style and a confident demeanor — also in demanding situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ideally certified in operations management, preferably ITIL v4
- Desirable Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate)
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (e.g., Omnissa, Windows 365)
- Knowledge in IT security, in particular system hardening according to CIS or BSI guidelines
