Responsibilities
- Assisting the Group Head of Internal Audit in delivering a rolling, risk‑based audit programme and associated reporting
- Deputising for the Head of Internal Audit when required
- Managing up to four Internal Audit team members to deliver audits on time and to required standards
- Developing and managing the audit and assurance programme for technology and information security
- Leading, developing, and embedding a Technology and Data Strategy for the Internal Audit function
- Supporting the Head of Internal Audit in producing high‑quality Board packs for various meetings
- Contributing to continuous improvement across the Internal Audit team
- Supporting External Quality Assurance Assessments
- Undertaking specialized audit work or supporting relevant investigations
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA), Internal Audit professional (CIIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor
- Significant post-qualification experience with a minimum of one year in an audit management position
- Strong technical knowledge of internal audit and its application within IT
- Experience in auditing technology compliance, IT strategy, and major technology change programmes
- Ability to deliver impactful presentations to senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Strong influencing skills and ability to produce high-quality insightful reports
- Experience with data analytics tools is desirable.
