About the role
- Manager, IT Applications responsible for overseeing, developing, and optimizing key business applications at Liebherr. Ensuring systems are reliable and aligned with business needs while contributing to strategic IT planning.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end performance, reliability, and usability of key business applications to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and aligned with current and future business needs.
- Contribute technical oversight and guidance in projects and problem-solving, especially where deep understanding of ERP, BI, or software development is required.
- Manage or oversee delivery of major application changes, upgrades, and system integrations, ensuring value to the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimise existing applications and business processes through automation, configuration, or new technologies.
- Maintain close working relationships with key departments to ensure systems are aligned with operational needs and strategic goals.
- Implement and maintain application governance frameworks, including access controls, licensing, data privacy, and audit readiness.
- Provide direction and support to internal staff and third-party vendors involved in application development and support.
- Work closely with the General Manager – IT to define and execute the applications strategy in line with the broader IT and business strategy.
- Have a strong commitment to safe work environment and continuous improvement.
- Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Degree qualifications in Information Technology.
- Current driver’s license (C class minimum).
- ITIL Foundation.
- Agile or Scrum certification.
- BI platform certifications.
- Cloud platform certifications.
- DevOps or Software Development certifications.
