Responsibilities
Develop and implement communications strategies to build London Transport Museum's reputation
Increase public awareness and support
Grow and enhance the Museum's audience and community
Corporate communications strategy development
Media relations including pitching ideas for features and developing ongoing relationships
Draft press releases and manage press mailing lists
Write communications copy and manage production and distribution of communication materials
Use social media channels and e-communications to support corporate communications
Manage internal and external events including press launches and familiarisation visits
Represent the Museum at industry forums and establish relationships with key partners
Requirements
Strong strategic PR, communication and marketing skills
PR and marketing techniques
Campaign planning
Analytical skills
Database management including press database experience
Exceptional written and oral communication skills including engaging press releases and promotional copy
Ability to build personal and organisational relationships particularly with the media and transport sector
Flexible, with ability to work under pressure to meet changing and multiple deadlines

Knowledge of PR and marketing
Knowledge of print, broadcast and online media
Event planning
Knowledge of current/emerging technologies, trends and best practice in PR, marketing and communications
Strong knowledge of data protection, privacy law and the GDPR and how this applies to data management and CRM.
