Senior Piping Engineer contributing high-pressure piping engineering solutions at Uniper. Collaborating across diverse teams to innovate and ensure energy supply security in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Contribute expertise in high-pressure piping technology (e.g., in accordance with DVGW regulations and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED))
Take responsibility for developing and producing documents such as technical reports on feasibility studies, specifications, piping classes, plant and system layouts, 3D models, parts lists, tender packages and cost estimates
Coordinate the planning, execution and delivery of engineering services and ensure that piping system requirements for quality, budget and schedule are met
Represent piping engineering within interdisciplinary teams to drive projects to success
Communicate effectively with contractors, regulatory authorities and specialists to ensure smooth construction and the approval/commissioning of the piping system
Monitor industry trends and technical developments
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
At least 8 years of professional experience in piping/pipeline engineering, preferably in high-pressure applications within the energy or oil & gas sectors
Specific knowledge and experience in pipeline transport of natural gas, hydrogen, ammonia and carbon dioxide is an advantage
Solid knowledge of national and international regulations related to high-pressure piping technology
Experience in engineering and engineering management of complex piping systems in power plants across various project phases (from feasibility to commissioning)
Leadership skills, including the ability to present complex technical issues in an abstracted, clear manner
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment, with willingness to travel for several days domestically and internationally
Very good German and English language skills required (German at least C1)
