About the role
- Commercial Analyst evaluating wind and photovoltaic projects for investment decisions in Europe. Collaborating with various teams to assess project portfolios and financial models.
Responsibilities
- Financial assessment of internally developed projects and project portfolios in the wind and photovoltaic segments as a basis for investment decisions domestically and internationally
- Financial assessment of M&A projects and project companies as a basis for investment decisions domestically and internationally
- Review of data room documentation in M&A projects and transfer of findings into valuation models
- Creation and further development of valuation models for wind and photovoltaic projects, domestically and internationally, with and without battery storage
- Conducting sensitivity analyses and identifying and assessing opportunities and risks to derive diversification strategies
- Commercial support in negotiations for the purchase and sale of projects and project companies, as well as in tender submissions
- Financial support for discussions with banks
- Reconciliation/post-calculation of existing projects
- Identification and provision of KPIs for regular reporting to management and for committee papers
- Close collaboration with other departments of Iqony Renewables GmbH and Iqony GmbH to assess project approaches
- Economic evaluation of operational and development projects as a basis for the group's mid‑term planning
Requirements
- Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
- Solid experience in building, developing and applying valuation/financial models
- Confident user of MS Office, especially MS Excel; SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Reliable, systematic and independent working style
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly
- Team player with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Very good German and English skills; additional languages, particularly French or Italian, are desirable
