About the role
- Underwriting Intern developing knowledge about corporate insurance functions and assisting the Accident and Health team. Collaborating with experienced Underwriting Managers in a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge about corporate insurance functions and the Accident and Health marketplace
- Assist professionals with day-to-day underwriting assignments and special projects
- Perform some of the work of entry-level underwriters
Requirements
- Must be working towards a Finance, Accounting or Business focused degree
- Preference will be given to those who have completed financial analysis coursework
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office/Excel
- Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects with competing priorities is required
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to travel for business purposes
- Understanding of how to use Teams/Remote Meeting Platform
- Previous internship experience in insurance is a plus, but not required
