Lead Structural Analysis Engineer at ICEYE, managing structural analysis for satellite systems to meet aerospace standards and ensuring mission success from launch to operations.
Responsibilities
**Your day-to-day responsibilities**
Lead, manage, and mentor the Structural Analysis team
Define structural requirements from mission and launcher constraints down to system and subsystem levels
Lead and contribute to trade studies, design reviews, and verification and qualification documentation
Ensure smooth and timely product delivery from concept through qualification
Drive continuous improvement of structural design and analysis methods
Collaborate with hardware engineering, AIT, and quality teams to ensure compliance with launch and in-orbit environments
Work with system and subsystem engineers to define requirements for new products
Support integration, validation, and issue resolution across internal and external teams
Requirements
Must haves:
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Experience leading and managing structural analysis or engineering teams
Experience designing satellite structures, subsystems, or complex electromechanical systems
Deep understanding of mechanical stress, vibration, and thermal effects on space structures
Strong expertise in finite element analysis, including structural dynamics and failure analysis
Experience with mechanical, hybrid, and bonded joints for load-carrying composite structures
Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ECSS, NASA, or MIL
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams
Nice to haves:
Experience with PLM or PDM systems for configuration control
Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, integration, and testing
Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft environments
