About the role
- Construction Manager responsible for multiple projects ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective completion for AVANGRID. Overseeing construction activities, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate construction and commissioning activities across multiple projects
- Ensure safe, high-quality, timely, and cost-effective project completion
- Manage oversight and performance accountability for Field Construction Managers
- Develop service specifications and manage contractor performance
- Ensure completion of field inspections and functional testing
- Manage outsourced construction contractors to ensure compliance with safety and budget
- Provide constructability feedback on construction standards
- Lead site activities to address electrical system emergencies
- Proactively identify construction risks and implement mitigation plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 7 years of relevant experience preferred
- Associate degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- High School/GED plus completion of the relevant progression program and 15 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive electric utility industry experience preferred
- 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel daily to construction sites and attend meetings
