Planning Engineer responsible for developing and managing project schedules at SP Energy Networks. Involved in large-scale projects supporting UK's electricity demand and Net-Zero strategy.
Responsibilities
Developing and managing evolving SP Energy Networks Transmission project schedules through the Development and Delivery project lifecycle
Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate project scheduling information
Identifying and communicating inter-dependencies and clashes while leading development of innovative programming solutions
Assessing schedule risk within the portfolio and suggesting solutions to alleviate or mitigate risks
Analyzing internal departmental and external contractor project schedules to advise the project team.
Requirements
Previous experience scheduling, programming and planning large-scale projects is essential
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or possessing equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Proficiency with planning software tools such as MS Project, Primavera (P6) and MSPe
Good verbal and written communications skills with strong numerical and analytical abilities
Understanding of project methodology, with experience in scheduling and reporting
Conducting schedule risk analysis and working with stakeholders to agree actions.
