About the role
- Senior Design Engineer developing and designing vehicle systems including cooling and hydraulic systems. Collaborating cross-functionally to solve engineering challenges and support car builds.
Responsibilities
- Design, specification and development of vehicle systems (including for example and not limited to, cooling, steering and fuel systems)
- 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly drawings using Catia V5
- Support text and validation of systems plus support design of any required test jigs and or rigs
- Work cross functionally with multiple departments to provide solutions on new designs as well as problem solve and find solutions to issues
- Support vehicle and test car builds and problem solve technical related issues
- Create and maintain systems technical library documentation
- Work with suppliers to define and deliver engineering systems plus problem solve manufacturing issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical engineering or similar background
- At least 6 years of experience in a comparable environment working with high performance parts
- Have a strong background with a solid understanding of systems and mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable)
- Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable)
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Fluent English is compulsory.
