Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for seeking and engaging new business opportunities mainly in Space (through ESA, national delegations and companies in this segment), Aerospace (avionics, drones, and other vehicles), large scientific facilities (such as particle accelerators or radioastronomy) and Defense at an international level leveraging also other contacts and international network of Safran Electronics and Defense group.
As a key member of our Research & Technology and Programs teams: You will facilitate our engagement in national/ international business opportunities contributing to the company growth.
You will increase market penetration by understanding the competitive market landscape, how and where Safran Electronics & Defense technology can be of use.
You will promote and lead long-term commercial partnerships with key customers and partnerships in Aerospace, Defense and Science programs.
You will work on identifying/qualifying/pursuing business opportunities aligned with the company technologies.
You will collaborate on project proposals from a business development perspective, providing ad hoc support as required.
You will leverage strategic partnerships to enhance performance, including preparation of international complex consortia and conducting joint international calls.
You are expected to maintain up-to-date internal databases related to customers, opportunities, and commercial activities.
Requirements
Background in a Technical education or Engineering discipline
5 + years of business development experience with relevant electronic products, ideally in Aerospace, Defense and Science programs.
Knowledge of how International, European, and National program and grant systems operate is highly advantageous.
Plus: experience with Position, Navigation, Timing and/or Simulation products.
