Responsibilities
- Oversee category strategies for terminals and ports, ensuring alignment with global priorities while tailoring approaches to regional market dynamics.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key suppliers at strategic hubs, fostering innovation, collaboration, and resilience through long-term partnerships.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, ensuring procurement strategies are integrated into broader corporate and operational strategies.
- Establish robust analytics frameworks and reporting to deliver insights on cost, performance, risk, and sustainability. Regularly update leadership on market conditions, supplier health, and category outlook.
- Ensure supplier selection, contracting, and management are aligned with ESG targets and corporate governance standards. Proactively address risks and compliance gaps.
- Champion best practices, digital adoption, and process modernization across the procurement function. Lead change initiatives to embed new tools, frameworks, and ways of working.
Requirements
- Proven track record in senior procurement or strategic sourcing roles, preferably within shipping, logistics, or infrastructure industries.
- Strong capability in market intelligence, scenario planning, and data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to engage with senior executives and external partners.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights and actions.
- Passion for sustainability and ESG integration in procurement decisions.
