About the role
- Group Financial Accountant overseeing SEC reporting and consolidation in a global insurance company. Working across accounting and technology functions for process improvements and training.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the group's SEC quarterly reporting and consolidation process
- Assist with the quarterly group close planning and roll forwards
- Assist with the preparation of group financials and supporting workbooks
- Reconciling the group eliminations and consolidation business units
- Liaise with external auditors as required
- Supporting the finance team with group processes and training
- Support the SUN General Ledger system
- Setting up new General Ledger codes and analysis codes, reviewing FX rates and opening and closing periods
- Support in the analysis and implementation of process improvements
- Other ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
- Recently qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- US GAAP experience desirable
- Proficient user of accounting ledgers (SUN desirable)
- Workiva experience desirable
- Strong user of MS Excel
- An ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High levels of attention to detail
