About the role

  • Area Sales Manager responsible for acquiring new business partners and maintaining client relationships in Southwest Germany for a leading industrial packaging company.

Responsibilities

  • Targeted growth through acquisition of new business partners and takeover of an existing customer base
  • Advise on our sustainable product and service offering; present products and services to customers on site
  • Conduct price negotiations, prepare quotations and close sales
  • Develop concepts and proposed solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Continuous market research and analysis of customer structures
  • Close cooperation with plant management and Customer Service
  • Prepare offers and update data in the CRM system, as well as record visit reports

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training or degree, preferably with a focus on sales/marketing
  • Good technical understanding and interest in a broad product portfolio used across many industries
  • Strong communication skills — including English — convincing both internally and externally
  • Confident presence, competent and trust-building communication style, effective in sales negotiations
  • Independent, service-oriented working style
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Customer support; capable of building and expanding long-term, trust-based business relationships
  • Willingness to travel within Germany with focus on customers in Southwest Germany
