About the role

  • Third Level Support Administrator in Germany focused on IT infrastructure management and problem resolution. Responsible for server optimization, documentation, and collaboration with service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Manage and optimize server and network resources, including performance monitoring and tuning
  • Manage and optimize virtualized environments, including provisioning, migration, and performance tuning of virtual machines
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs and knowledge bases to support the entire support team
  • Plan and execute software updates, patches and security improvements
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve the IT infrastructure and support processes
  • Monitor system performance and availability; produce status reports and recommendations for improvement
  • Work closely with service providers (e.g., network engineering, security) to develop comprehensive solutions

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification (e.g., university degree)
  • Preferably holding further certifications (e.g., in networking technologies, databases, virtualization)
  • Deep expertise in at least one discipline, such as network administration, database management, or software development
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Strong experience in administration and troubleshooting of client and server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux)
  • Thorough understanding of network infrastructures, protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN)
  • Solid knowledge of common virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix)
  • Proven knowledge of various backup technologies and methods (e.g., backup software, cloud storage, RAID systems)
